21st Century Community Learning Centers
Request for Proposals

The Holly Springs School District is applying for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant for Grades K-4.

The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE), as authorized under Title IV, Part B, of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as amended by the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, is soliciting proposals to create community learning centers. These centers must provide academic enrichment opportunities for children, particularly students who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools, to meet State and local student standards in core academic subjects; offer students a broad array of enrichment activities that can complement their regular academic programs; and offer literacy and other educational services to the families of participating children through a competitive funding process.
